Ouirgane

Ouirgane (66km from Marrakesh, around 2h roundtrip):

  • Market days: Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.
  • Discover the valley and Berber villages.
  • Possibility to eat at the restaurant L’Oliveraie with pool access included with the menu (not included in the tour price).
  • Option: Plateau Kik.

We also advise you to go through the Kik plateau which offers a magnificent view.

Imlil

67km Marrakesh trip, around 2h roundtrip:

  • Market days: Tuesday and Thursday.
  • Discover the valley and Berber villages.
  • Kasbah du Toubkal.
  • Option: Plateau Kik (Circuit between the dam Lalla Takerkous and Imlil).

You can explore Imlil either on foot or on mules through the rocks and the river and explore the Kasbah Toubkal and small waterfalls of Imlil. There are many places if you want to stop for a drink or eat. We advise you to stop for a drink at the beautiful Kasbah Tamadot (owned by Sir Richard Branson, Virgin Group).

Ourika

65km from Marrakesh, around 1h45 roundtrip:

  • Market days: Monday and Friday.
  • Possibility to drink tea or eat with a local family (not included in the tour price).
  • Lunch Option: 120dhs /pers.
  • Possibility of a hike (about 1h30 roundtrip) to waterfalls, you should bring walking shoes. Option guide: 100dhs

The tour will allow you to discover the valley to Sitti Fatma, several stops are planned including one in a Berber house to drink mint tea or have lunch. The Ourika Valley allows those, who wish to, a chance to explore and discover different falls. Hiking boots or good walking shoes are required. Guides will be there if you want, but you can do this independently.

Essaouira

174km Marrakesh, around 5h roundtrip

The fortified city of Essaouira, also known as Mogador, has the air of Saint Malo (France) because it was rebuilt by Theodore Cornut, a disciple of Vauban. You will be able to discover through the narrow streets of the city, local crafts such as wood cedar and paintings.
Essaouira is also famous for the many fields of argan trees that surround it and its Gnaoua festival held each year in early summer.

Ouzoud falls

150km Marrakesh, around 5h roundtrip

Ouzoud falls from a height of 110 meters, are located in a green valley lined with almond trees, fig trees, olive groves and are considered the most beautiful waterfalls in Morocco.On the footpath leading to waterfalls, numerous craft shops and restaurants are located and you will also come across Berber macaques living in freedom.

Ouarzazate + Ait Ben Haddou

200km from Marrakesh, around 7-8h roundtrip

  • Scenic mountains and the High Atlas.
  • The Tizi-n-tichka 2,265 meters.
  • Berber villages.
  • The kasbahs and ksar.
  • The film studio.

This beautiful excursion can be done during the day (warning: long and winding route). You will take the scenic route that offers beautiful scenery before visiting the Ksar of Ait Ben Haddou to finally reach Ouarzazate, also called « the gateway to the desert ».

In Ouarzazate, you can, if you wish, visit the kasbah of Taourirt and movie studios where films and series such as Gladiator, Game of Thrones were shot.

If you do not want to visit Ouarzazate, another route can be taken via Telouet, where you can visit an 18th century Kashba, then visit the Ksar of Ait Ben Haddou before returning to Marrakesh.

Merzouga desert

560km from Marrakesh, around 14h roundtrip
